Appeal News

Npower have decided to Appeal against all three Planning Authorities (either for the decisions to reject or for “non determination”).

The Inquiry will open at 10:00 am on Tuesday 4th October, 2011 in the Harpur Suite, Corn Exchange, Bedford.

Thereafter, commencing on Wednesday 5th October, the Inquiry will be held in the Council Chamber, Bedford Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford (9.30am - 1.00pm, 2.00pm - 5.00pm)

The inquiry will finish on Friday 14th October with the summing up by all parties.

The Inspectors decision is then expected around the 4th December 2011.

The Inspectors decision is now in and full reason for granting the Appeal is here

What Now?

We would strongly suggest that you write (and preferably write, as in send a letter) to your local MP to let him know exactly how you feel and ask why and what can be done to stop this (they have after all said on many occasions that they support our campaign and oppose this development).

The Conservative party make much about the pending “Localism Bill” (**STOP PRESS** now passed and LAW - more later) yet if there was ever an example of where local opposition and local planning authority decisions (all three in our case) to reject this application have been squashed because of “government targets”, then this is it.

Even at this eleventh hour, we believe we can snatch justice from the jaws of deceit. (**STOP PRESS ** High Court challenge to Appeal Decision by Milton Keynes Council)

Please write to your MP and voice your concerns about the decision on Nun Wood.

Write to them at the House of Commons or their Local Constituency
